PepsiCo is supporting independent businesses this summer by offering ten entrants the chance to win up to £2,000, in its latest giveaway. A first for PepsiCo, the giveaway will be open to both independent away-from-home operators and independent retailers. To enter, operators or retailers must simply purchase three cases of any qualifying product* in a single transaction from a participating wholesaler and text to win, by 31st August.
Out-of-home snacking continues to be a key snacking occasion within the Savoury Snacks Category, with 19% (+5pp) share . Summer provides a significant opportunity for retailers and independent businesses to capitalise on this and encourage incremental spend.
With the giveaway including RRP price-marked-packs, PepsiCo is helping retailers to tap into demand for the pack format at a time when consumers are after reassurance. RRP price-marked-packs also continue to play a strong role within savoury snacking. Sharing RRP PMPs account for 42% of salty snacks value sales in the Crisps, Snacks and Nuts segment and continue to grow at +20.1% vs. previous year , demonstrating just how important RRP PMPs remain.
