Red Bull is proud to announce its win at the 2020 National Federation of Retail Newsagents Awards (NFRN), being voted ‘Product of the Year’ at the ceremony held at Lancaster Gate Hotel on Tuesday 28th January 2020.
Celebrating the very best of the independent retail sector, the awards honoured both the operators and brands who have made an exceptional contribution to the sector over the last twelve months. Categories on the evening included Responsible Retailer of the Year, Newsagent of the Year, and Community Newsagent of the Year.
On Red Bull’s win, judges commented; “Innovation and high-profile marketing campaigns keep Red Bull at the number one slot within the energy drinks sector. Earlier this year Red Bull added to its Edition’s Range with the first Coconut Berry variant. Launching on-trend flavours allows retailers to expend their energy drink portfolio and brings renewed excitement to the sector.
Additionally, its 2019 summer multi-media marketing campaign, which landed during the iconic Cricket World Cup backing the launch of its Project-Pro initiative, which featured limited edition cans celebrating some of the UK’s top athletes including Ben Stokes, saw the presence of over 78m athlete cans during the summer.
