him! and the Federation of Wholesale Distributors are teaming up to reveal the top wholesalers of the year as voted for by the people who really matter – their customers. The winners of the him! Wholesale Awards will be announced at the FWD conference, Goals For Growth: Match-winning Strategies For The Wholesale Channel at the National Football Centre on July 10.

FWD-logohim! will reveal the headlines from this year’s Wholesale research, which provides the latest opinions, attitudes and behaviours of independent retailers and food service operators to help understand the full cycle of how they plan, purchase and implement their customer offer. Based on thousands of interviews, we will celebrate and award the customers’ favourite wholesalers for service, promotions and own-label ranges.

FWD’s conference provides data and analysis to present supplier companies with a irresistible case for investment in wholesale, and this year includes first sight of brand new studies of the economic and social impact of the channel, as well as a comprehensive new foodservice market read. It looks at growth opportunities in the on-trade and explores how wholesalers are helping suppliers drive sales into new markets while offering support and advice to hundreds of thousands of independent businesses.

FWD Chief Executive James Bielby said: “We’re delighted to host the him! awards as part of our annual conference. They are all about the opinions of the customers and it’s the retailers and caterers who pick the winners, so every wholesaler wants to be up on the podium at the end of the night. It’s a great way to showcase the best in the sector and a fitting climax to the biggest day in the wholesale calendar.”

him! Executive Director Jill Livesey said “These awards reflect the customers’ choice of the products, services and support they receive from their supply chain partners, and we’re really pleased to be revealing the winners at the wholesale sector’s flagship event in July.”

Details of the conference, held on July 10 at St George’s Park, Burton-on-Trent, can be found at www.fwd.co.uk/viewnews.asp?newsid=218
