Following the successful launch of the Digital Excellence Academy in February, Unitas Wholesale, the UK’s largest wholesale services company, has announced plans for its next module which will focus on social media guidance for its wholesalers.

The Digital Excellence Academy has been developed to offer advice and support to Unitas Wholesale members across a wide selection of digitally related topics important for wholesale businesses and their customers. This exciting programme of activities will include a series of events, tools and workshops taking place throughout the year to drive digital excellence across the membership.

The inaugural event, in partnership with Lumina Intelligence, saw over 80 delegates take part in a live webinar dedicated to best practice for B2B transactional platforms, with many members taking up the offer of a digital health check on their own platforms post-event.

This next module, titled ‘Get Social’ will be a focus on social media with a one-week masterclass covering a range of social media topics chosen to transform a wholesalers online presence, giving them the knowledge and tools to drive additional sales and customer engagement through their social channels.

Over the course of five days Unitas Wholesale members will receive a daily ‘Get Social’ email containing a bite-sized video with supporting information for them to enjoy in your own time. Unitas Wholesale is also giving one lucky wholesaler the chance to win three months social media support from the leading marketing agency and event partners, Digital Blonde.

Digital Blonde specialise in digital transformation with social media guidance at the heart of their strategy. Karen Fewell, company owner added, ‘“Over the last year more and more people have turned to digital platforms to grow their businesses and interact with customers. Whilst this offers increased potential for wholesalers, it also means those using social media must do so more effectively as there is so much activity on the channels. To ensure your content is seen and acted upon, I’ll be sharing some effective hints and tips that wholesalers can quickly implement into their marketing strategy.”

Topic to be covered during ‘Get Social’ include driving sales through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, the psychology of social media content, advertising, protecting your accounts, and new social networks.

‘Get Social’ kicks off with a special short introductory webinar on Wednesday 5th May, with the week-long campaign launching Monday 10th May 2021 and is exclusive to Unitas Wholesale members.
