As the summer months approach with events, concerts, and festivals on the horizon, new research reveals the value consumers put on music, as singing with others proves essential in empowering Brits. However, despite 57 per cent of consumers saying there’s “nothing better” than singing in a group, two-thirds (65 per cent) admit they haven’t considered how to keep their voices in top condition, even though 60 per cent have had to stop singing altogether due to a strained throati.  

The research has been released by the No.1 cough / throat lozenge brand, Jakemans,ii as we prepare for the summer season, when sporting, singing, and social events put an additional strain on voices. The research findings highlight an opportunity for retailers this summer as consumers seek effective vocal health solutions to keep their voices in top condition for upcoming events.

To help raise consumer awareness of the importance of vocal health, Jakemans is working with The Vocal Coach, Annabel Williams to educate on how to support your voice this season. Annabel explains:
