• Żubr now available in £7.29 price-marked packs from Parfetts, Dhamecha and Bestway
  • Price-marked packs effectively communicate good value to lager shoppers and are a tried-and-tested method of driving sales

Żubr, the number three bestselling Polish beer brand,[1] is helping convenience retailers make more from the lucrative world lager segment by launching a new price-marked pack (PMP).

The launch marks the first time Żubr will be available in PMP format and will see its 4x500ml packs stamped with a £7.29 price flash.

The format is available in England and Wales from Parfetts, Dhamecha and Bestway and will build on the growth Żubr is currently seeing in the convenience channel. While the total lager category in impulse is down by -2.5%, Żubr is bucking this trend with a +10% increase in sales in the 52 weeks up to 22 March 2025.[2]

Żubr’s PMP follows in the footsteps of fellow Asahi UK brand Tyskie – the number one Polish beer brand in convenience (worth £20m)[3] – which launched a £6.79 price-marked pack for its 4x500ml format in March.

Rob Hobart, marketing director at Asahi UK, said: “Price-marked packs are effective at driving consumer confidence in convenience, communicating to the shopper that they are getting a fair deal and good value.

“Price-marked packs frequently drive a much higher rate of sale in convenience than their non-price-marked equivalents. With Żubr already showing good growth in impulse stores, we’re confident this format will only drive sales further.”
