Caterforce, the UK buying and marketing consortium, has launched four brand new cakes and desserts to its popular Chefs’ Selection range just in time for the festive period.
With requests for gluten-free, free-from and vegan options hitting an all-time high in every element of foodservice, Caterforce has launched its latest own-brand range of desserts and cakes to satisfy consumer demand and ensure foodservice customers don’t miss out on essential incremental sales over the busy festive period.
The new desserts and cakes include a Vegan & Gluten Free Chocolate Orange Dessert, Vegan & Gluten Free Lemon & Berry Delice, Vegan Speculoos Traybake and a Gluten Free Raspberry Sensation Cheesecake.
“The decision to launch these gluten-free and vegan additions to our Chefs’ Selection range was an easy one,” said Rebecca Woollam, Own Brand Marketing Manager. “Demand for free-from and vegan choices on a menu has never been so high, but we also know that they need to deliver amazing flavour and reflect the key seasonal trends.

The launch of the new desserts comes after Caterforce announced it had reduced salt and sugar across the range to support its foodservice customers ahead of the new 2024 targets introduced by Public Health England.
Currently, Chefs’ Selections comprises more than 350 lines of fridge, freezer and store cupboard essentials. Affordable, practical and high quality, the range is based on feedback from Caterforce members and their customers, and all products are handpicked from BRC accredited suppliers.
