To support the Back-to-School trading period this year, Kellogg’s hit the road with their Back-to-School Roadshow, visiting wholesale depots across the country to celebrate 25 years of Kellogg’s supporting breakfast clubs. 2023 is a milestone year for Kellogg’s as since launching their Breakfast Clubs programme in 1998, they have donated £5m and funded over 5,000 schools.

With their branded van, Kellogg’s toured the UK offering retailers the opportunity to enjoy a bowl of cereal or a cereal and milk snack bar, whilst also providing category advice. Price promotions were also available across the Kellogg’s range, to support independent retailers by helping them to maximise their sales during a key trading period for the category.

Hannah Fearnley, Head of Wholesale at Kellogg’s comments: “Cereal is a huge category, valued at £1.4bn and growing. Within that huge category Kellogg’s are the biggest cereals manufacturer in Independents with 49% of cereals sales.”

“Mid-August to Mid-September is the highest sales period for Kellogg’s cereals in Independents and it’s an opportunity for independent retailers to make the most of the consumer need for cereals during the Back-to-School period.”

“It’s a great trading period for both wholesalers and retailers to engage in as ultimately, we want to help retailers sell more.”

Kellogg’s offer an extensive range of suitable Back-to-School breakfast and lunchbox options, enabling retailers to stock up with confidence and ease knowing they are purchasing from the leading brand within the category.
