Following the continued success of their Wholesale Sample Box initiative, introduced back in 2021, the member-owned buying and marketing group has extended the reach of samples boxes even further with the launch of its Retail Sample Box campaign.

The initiative will give Retailers the chance to familiarise themselves with the latest product launches and must stock core lines to help them with the decision-making process when it comes to stocking the selective range of products with a view to increase profitability and sales in their stores.

The Group has already run a successful trial by partnering with their Northern Ireland based member and Sugro Board Director, O’Reilly’s Wholesale. The brightly designed dual branded box is not to be missed!

With more wholesalers and supply partners interested in taking part, this box is the first of its kind to reach retailers within the convenience channel.

Retailers will be able to benefit from gaining insights from the products across key industry leading suppliers such as A.G. Barr, PepsiCo Walkers, Boost Drinks, Lindt & Sprungli, Mars Wrigley and Mondelez International, Britvic and many more.

Derek O’Reilly, Managing Director of O’Reilly’s Wholesale commented: “This has been a great success. Our customers enjoyed receiving the sample box free of charge and thought it was a nice gesture from O’Reilly’s and Sugro. 75% of the customers that have been offered the O’Reilly’s/Sugro box have given the Representative an order for the products listed in the box.”

One of the O’Reilly’s retail customers said: “It was a pleasant surprise to see our Sales Representative, Alan visiting the store with the O’Reilly’s/Sugro box which was something that we haven’t been offered previously. We opened it and encouraged each member of the store team to sample the products. The store team is the one who sells the products to the customers, so it is important for them to try and taste the products. Nevertheless, we now expect more of these Sample boxes in the New Year.”
