Convenience retail specialist Nisa donated almost £1 million last year to charities and other good causes across the UK and Ireland, through its Making a Difference Locally charity. 2018 saw over 2,000 individual donations made to causes including community groups, schools, Scout groups, charities, sports clubs and many more.

Kate Carroll, Nisa’s Head of Charity said: “2018 was another incredible year for charitable giving among Nisa retailers and donations were made to a wide variety of deserving causes. The donations will make a huge difference to small charities and other community causes, particularly those that rely on public support. Donating almost a million pounds is another great milestone to reach in our tenth birthday year, which saw the charity raise ten million pounds since 2008.”

Making a Difference Locally (MADL) raises funds in Nisa partner stores through sales of Heritage own label products and branded items featured on the Nisa leaflet, in addition to funds raised via in-store collecting tins.
