Colleagues from Blakemore Foodservice and the Country Range Group served up culinary delights at the Lead Association for CAtering in Education’s (LACA) Main Event in July.
The Main Event showcases the Education Catering Exhibition and is the only exhibition completely dedicated to the educational market.
The Education Catering Exhibition offers customers the chance to catch up with suppliers and discuss new products, as well as source new ideas.
Over the three-day event, colleagues from Blakemore Foodservice partnered up with the Country Range Group’s development team to showcase products and attract potential customers.
Blakemore Foodservice joined the Country Range Group network of 12 independent wholesalers in June to gain access to its Country Range branded product range, which has been developed exclusively for professional caterers.
Products on offer at the show will form part of Blakemore Foodservice’s new Country Range own-brand range that will include more than 750 products.
Blakemore Foodservice Trade Sector Manager Matt Johnson explained: “The Main Event provided us with a great opportunity to network and develop our existing customers as well as the chance to attract new interest.
“A professional chef was hired to provide a tasty menu for delegates to try, cooked from scratch using new Country Range products in order to introduce customers to our new own-brand range.
“Over 170 suppliers exhibited and hundreds of delegates attended, so it was important for Blakemore Foodservice to have a presence at the event.
“The sales team were able to secure multiple new business leads, which will be followed up over the coming weeks.”
Head of Foodservice Caoire Blakemore added: “Joining the Country Range Group is a really exciting move for us. The chief benefits include greater buying power, access to a fantastic range of innovative products, as well marketing materials to share with our existing and prospective customers.”
Blakemore Foodservice will now begin the process of integrating the new Country Range own-brand range into its offer.
