Grace Foods, the UK’s leading supplier of Caribbean food and drink, is rolling out a raft of trade and consumer initiatives to make this year’s Caribbean Food Week (August 22nd – 29th) the biggest and best ever.
Now in its fifth year, this year’s Caribbean Food Week sees Grace Foods staging its first Caribbean Food Week Food Festival at Windrush Square in Brixton, London (August 26th/27th), featuring Caribbean street food, cookery demonstrations, live music, a Caribbean market and the distribution of money-off coupons.
The company will also be working with many of the UK’s top food bloggers to create dishes that are ideal for a Caribbean street party.
“We’re going to show the nation just how easy it is to prepare great-tasting Caribbean dishes for family and friends, driving awareness of Caribbean food and drink – and Grace brands in particular – to highest ever levels,” says Nyree Chambers, Head of Marketing at Grace Foods.
Many of the bloggers’ recipes and serving suggestions will feature subsequently in a wideranging social media programme that will run on Facebook and Twitter during August.
Consumer demand will also be generated by an extensive programme of sampling which will run throughout August, complemented by national and regional press advertising and dedicated Caribbean Food Week fixture branding.
Retailers, meanwhile, will be able to take advantage of special deals at cash and carry sampling days during Caribbean Food Week, with added value deals being applied to the Grace, Dunn’s River, Encona and Nurishment ranges.
“This is by far the most comprehensive support package we’ve put in place to drive awareness and demand for Caribbean food and drink to exciting new heights. It’s good news for the growing number of retailers who are looking for new profit opportunities in the broader world foods market,” concludes Chambers.
