After 25 years at the helm of the Confex buying group, Nicky White is stepping down as Managing Director.
Tom Gittins, who was appointed as Director last year, will become Managing Director with immediate effect.
“After 25 years, I’m happy to hand over the reins to Tom and the brilliant team we now in place have at Confex,” said Nicky. “I’m also looking forward to spending more time with my grandchildren.”
Of the appointment, Tom said: “I thank the Confex Board for giving me this opportunity and look forward to leading Confex into the next phase of our evolution in our 48th year.
“These are exciting times for the wholesale industry and with our dynamic, forward-thinking members and dedicated head office team, we are well placed to capitalise on the rapidly changing marketplace.”
Chairman Martin Williams said: “Confex continues to grow and evolve with their members becoming the focal point of the business. I have been delighted to work with them this year and look forward to working with Tom and the family to further grow and develop the business for both next year and future years.”
