Over 200 visitors flocked to Doncaster Racecourse for the Country Range Group’s latest Business Development Day, which took place on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th September and saw the Group’s latest members – First Choice Foodservice and Country Valley Food Service – attend their first Group event.
The invaluable BDD events continue to be a key feature in the CRG calendar for members and allow suppliers the opportunity to have face-to-face meetings with delegates and discuss the latest product innovations, product performance and additional support activities.
The recent event, which was attended by new CRG members, attracted over 30 suppliers including Nestle, Kraft Heinz, Rich Sauces, Britvic, Pepsico, Unilever, Delifrance and Pan Artisan.
In addition to final planning ahead of the festive season, the event also showcased a raft of new products and trends for 2025.
Dean Pendlebury, CRG’s Head of Trading, said: “Our BDDs continue to provide huge value to our members and suppliers with more delegates and orders being placed at each new event. They’re a crucial part of the CRG trading calendar and offer fantastic opportunities for suppliers to have face-to-face meetings, showcase exciting NPD and building strong relationships with our members. The energy, engagement and innovation in the room was incredible to see so a big thanks to all our suppliers and guests who attended. 2025 looks like it will be a very exciting year.”
Aggie Zarzi of Mademoiselle said: “The CRG BDD’s are a key date in our calendar and present us with a great opportunity to get in front of people who matter, share our plans and build relationships. There’s nothing better than speaking to people face-to-face so events like these are always invaluable.”
Alex Luker from Belazu added: “The format of the day was fantastic and allowed us to be able to showcase our range, sample our products, and engage properly with customers. We’re excited to build on the connections we were able to make at the event and look forward to working collaboratively with CRG and its members going forward.”
