A new addition to the agenda for Nisa’s annual exhibition has proven to be a huge hit with retailers.

The Category Talks, which have been introduced to the two-day event for the first time, sold out within just a week of being launched and a waiting list is now in operation to ensure as many partners as possible can benefit.

In total 12 sessions will be held across the two days, offering Nisa partners the opportunity to glean valuable advice and insight into two key categories.

The talks will be led by heads of category from the commercial team at Co-op for Beers, Wines and Spirits and Food to Go categories.

Events manager Jenny Potts said: “The talks are designed to help partners generate increased cash profit in key trading categories and will include ranging and merchandising recommendations.

“It is the first time we have incorporated sessions like this at the exhibition and it is brilliant to see how warmly our partners have welcomed them.”

The Category Talks, which will be held in the main exhibition hall are intended to be short and engaging, lasting just 30 minutes, and will allow time for partners to ask questions and seek advice.

Jenny added: “BWS and Food to Go categories are both award winners for Co-op, recognised in the market as best performers, so the insights and category innovation should be invaluable.”

Meanwhile, with less than eight weeks to go until the doors open at Nisa’s 2020 annual exhibition at the NAEC at Stoneleigh, all the stands for the event have now sold out with some 250 suppliers booking their place.

Jenny said: “We have been able to add a few more stands in to make space for additional suppliers but the exhibition hall is now completely full and we are thrilled to see so many regular faces returning to our show to exhibit as well as some brand new suppliers to Nisa.”
