Foodservice wholesaler Thomas Ridley has increased resources behind its online ordering and click & collect services to ensure deliveries are being made and customers can pick up orders with ease.
Darren Osborn, eCommerce Director at Thomas Ridley Foodservice: “Our click & collect service is open to all, you do not need an account to order on our website. Choose the click & collect option at checkout to collect items from our warehouse in Suffolk or alternatively, we use a courier service for customers further afield. We are experiencing a surge in demand, especially from non-trade customers; families, people who are self-isolating and anyone who is trying to get groceries. We have put more resource into our operations to help to meet this demand and ensure that we can continue to supply.”
Typically, a one stop shop for the hospitality and foodservice industry, the team at Thomas Ridley are increasing warehouse picking services and working hard to ensure they have enough stock to fulfil orders. As well as demand from local people within the area, there has been a significant increase in disposables, containers for takeaway and home delivery of food & wine.
“In these unusual times, none of us know what will happen next, but we must all do what we can to help each other out. We’re taking measures to ensure our own teams are protected at the same time as we are trying to ramp up to meet the demand from our local area.” Darren concludes.
