Welcome to the Spring 2010 issue of Wholesale Manager. Grandflame has been in the publishing business for over 20 years. We recognised the opportunity to give the cash and carry and delivered wholesale industry its first independently -published specific tabloid, with its opportunity for big statements and big advertising – and here we are, independent and fresh in outlook and style.
Wholesale Manager knows there are other titles in the marketplace, but we have a plan.

What is the plan? We‘ll tell you. There is a gap in the market for a publication which is fully focused on bringing you information from manufacturers, the suppliers in the food and drinks categories on which our readers depend for big sellers, big brands, good service, innovation and overall profitability.

Our mission is to bring the news from key suppliers to key wholesale managers in a fresh bold manner.  Mixed with this will be newsy features and comment. Our style may take a little time to sink in, but change always takes a little time….

From our research we believe suppliers will welcome this new fresh independent link with the Wholesale Manager and we look forward to working with them.

We pride ourselves on being a forward-thinking company. So given time, our ambition is for Wholesale Manager to be the title of choice that wholesale managers turn to when they want a good read – in print or digitally via their computer.

Like many people in the grocery market, we ‘re enthusiastic users of the new media, specifically digital publishing and the Internet, and we know there are plenty of people out there who share our enthusiasm, and like to get their trade news digitally. Their numbers will grow.

That said, we still love producing magazines. We began as print publishers, and will continue to be. Hence we ‘re committed to publishing this in print, digital format, and on our web site. Happy reading, wherever and however you are reading this!
