Black. It’s simple. It’s stylish. It goes with everything. That’s why the launch of Black Castello, the first black mould cheese in the UK, is set to be all the rage this season. This tangy little number, which has recently won silver at the world cheese awards, has a creamy texture and delicious sweet taste, making Black Castello an essential item for the fridge in autumn and winter 2008. As well as the unique black mould, it’s made with a combination of cow and sheep’s milk emphasising Castello’s creamy trademark.
Launched in October 2007 the £1m brand is being supported by a £2.1m marketing programme during 2008, including press, sampling and an online campaign.
