Manchester’s SPAR stores owned by independent retailer Paul Stone have reached one million sandwich sales helping to support the work of Marie Curie Nurses. Paul Stone owns five Manchester SPAR stores in total at City Tower, Oxford Road, Princess Street, Piccadilly, and St Mary’s Gate, and collectively, the stores have sold one million sandwiches since Marie Curie became SPAR UK’s national charity partner in November 2016. One penny from every sandwich and wrap sold in a SPAR store in the North of England goes to Marie Curie, meaning that over £10,000 has been raised for the UK’s leading end of life care charity in the six-year period, helping to support more than 500 Marie Curie nursing hours.
