02Ferrero is expanding its focus on Diwali again this year, launching for the first time bespoke kits including themed posters and shelf talkers, available to order on its trade hub The kits will contain similar Christmas themed POS as well, to help support retailers during a busy time in the year. What’s more, three lucky retailers who order the kits will win a FSDU, complete with Ferrero Rocher stock, worth £225.

Levi Boorer, Customer Development Director at Ferrero, said: “We’ve placed a lot of focus on religious festivals – such as Diwali and Eid – for a number of years now. We invested in extensive research with 1,000 convenience operators back in 2016, which revealed that 71% of retailers at the time weren’t actively engaging around the occasion with their customers[3]. There’s been a real shift since then and our customers are increasingly activating to reap the sales potential, particularly for celebrating and entertaining confectionery.

“In 2016, 72% of retailers stated that they sell a lot of chocolate products during these key trading spikes1, so we went away and developed in-store display solutions to help retailers add some theatre in store – and they’ve proven a total success! Our Diwali displays went on to win an accolade at the POPAI Awards and Ferrero Rocher grew in value sales over the period by +20.4%[4].
