RNF has today launched b2b.store – a free wholesale specific eCommerce platform that works across mobile, desktop and tablet.

The new service has been designed to help wholesalers of all sizes access one of the major growth channels in wholesale, digital, supporting them to provide a better service to their customers.

Rob Mannion, founder and CEO of RNF explained: “Digital has been a fast-growing part of the wholesale sector for a number of years but traditionally the costs of getting online have been prohibitive for many customers.

“The real benefit of offering multi-platform digital ordering, is that you can effectively put your depot in your customers’ pockets, allowing them to manage orders on the go.

“Historically, creating the apps was a time and cost-intensive process but advances in technology mean we can now do this at the click of a button, making online ordering accessible to a far wider range of wholesalers.”

To get online, b2b.store customers will simply need to provide a customer and product file in csv format and the app can be live in 24 hours.

Customers looking for greater functionality will also be able to upgrade their plan to include certain premium features, such as barcode scanning, in-app advertising, product placement and a basket builder, which means customers can create lists and favourites for quick re-ordering. These four premium features are also being offered free for 60 days. For those customers who want an app store presence, there is the option to upgrade to this as well.

“The launch of b2b.store means we can empower wholesalers of all sizes to take their business online,” continued Rob. “While we have been working on the concept for a while, the impact of Covid-19 has clearly demonstrated the value of being able to offer customers a digital capability and we hope that, through b2b.store, we can help wholesalers across the sector thrive, not just survive.”

While b2b.store will look after the needs of smaller wholesalers, those looking for greater in-app functionality and data insights will continue to be able to do so through RNF.

“Advances in technology continue to drive the evolution of the sector and many of our wholesale customers are increasingly interested in how insights derived from mobile data can be used to improve their service and drive their business forward,” continued Rob. “In recognition of this, we recently restructured our business, appointing Mike Mannion as Chief Data Officer and Dale Jefferson as Chief Technology Officer to ensure our customers stay at the vanguard of developments.

“At the heart of everything is keeping customer needs at the heart of the wholesale sector.  Data-driven insights can be used not only to inform how and when wholesalers communicate with their customers but also to anticipate their needs more effectively and ensure they are able to serve them.

“By focusing resources on these developments, we are can add real value to our customers, advising them on the latest technologies and helping them develop bespoke services to drive their businesses forward.”
