UK consumers love Italian food, new research has found that Italian restaurants are growing in popularity as they represent 8.5% of all restaurants in the UK ahead of Indian (8.4%) and Chinese (6.7%)*. The Chilled Pasta category is currently worth £193m (IRI Data 52wks Dec 2023) and continues to grow strongly +11% YoY.

Retailers own label has the lion share of sales at 81% of the market, however Dell’Ugo plays a significant role in the branded chilled pasta category, which is up +7.7% YoY.
